Fernco Icon Pushfit Coupling - 6 Inch Straight Connection - [FRN-IC150P]
Fernco manufactures a wide range of couplings that connect rainwater and wastewater pipelines using the internal surface, we call these 'Icon' (internal connection) couplings.
- Significantly reduces labour time for connecting problem pipes
- Watertight connection on any pipe material
- Connects pipes of differing or irregular outside diameters
- No need to expose external surface of pipe
- Pipe stop indicates that the product is properly installed, when it is flush to the pipe end
- Passes pressure tests
- Provides shear load protection
- The whole range conforms to the requirements of BS EN 295-4:2013
Traditionally flexible couplings connect to the outside of pipelines to ensure the internal surface is free from obstruction. However, there are occasions where internal couplings are necessary...
- Pipe has been encased in concrete
- Pipe surrounded by brick
- Pipe cut off at the floor or wall, leaving no stub or excess Etc
- Fernco Icon Couplings have been specifically designed to create a strong permanent connection whilst having minimal impact to natural flow.
- Tapered edges aid flow and thin coupling wall keeps bore reduction to a minimum.
The Icon Pushfit range consists of six variations designed to provide straight connections to DN100 and DN150 pipes, or to provide adaptor connections when DN100 pipes are connecting to DN150 pipe sizes. Connections can be made to any pipe material via their internal surface.
- Can be installed in 30 seconds or less
- Quick and easy alternative to a standard coupling
- Superior joint stability compared to external couplings
- Pushfit connection – no tools required
- Can be easily removed and re-used
- Watertight connection on any pipe material
- No need to expose external surface of pipe
- Removes internal joint step that is created by connecting two different pipe materials with conventional couplings
- Creates a smooth transition between pipe invert levels
- Improved jetting resistance
- Withstands internal pressure of up to 2.5bar
- Conforms to all testing requirements of WIS 4-41-01 and BS EN 295-4:2013
