Remlive 24i constantly displays the energised state of a machine control panel. It will help avoid accidental electrocution through a control panel remaining live despite being isolated and apparently safe to work on.
Faulty Rotary isolators are a commonly found fault with up to 25% worn or damaged in service. This can quickly result in a panel being powered up when the isolator appears to have been turned off. Remlive gives you the constant indication to eliminate this risk of an accident.
The basic principle of operation is that when the power supply is in the "ON" state then the LED displays on the face of the Remlive 24i would be illuminated with some factory set flashing LED’s to attract attention. These LED’s will remain operational until all voltage has decayed to less than 24v on all connections including the Neutral. If the neutral floats above 24volts, even when phase lines are correctly isolated, the unit will indicate the presence of this potentially dangerous voltage to earth.
So the person performing the isolation can see that the RL24i is functional with the power on and see a positive change of state, after correct isolation and locking off. RL24i will continue to give some form of illumination until all connections are below 24 volts, including Stored Energy, thus preventing accidental shocks through the assumption of the panel being dead.
Technical Information
The Remlive RL-24i kit comprises of two units, one door mounting and one DIN rail mounting. The door unit fits through the front of a control panel and occupies a standard 30.5mm dia. pushbutton hole.
