The compact design is paired perfectly with a handy integrated carry handle, making life easier when there is a need to transport the jack. The product is the ideal size for keeping in the garage or storing in the boot of your car when on the move. No job is too tough for the RWTJ2.5!

IMPORTANT

The jack can be tilted during shipping, allowing air to enter the cylinders. As a result, when you first pull a new jack out of the box, it’s critical to bleed out the air before using it. Additionally, it would be best to repeat this practice monthly and/or whenever you notice any lapses in lifting capacity. Bleeding it every month will help your jack perform at its best. To bleed your lift, follow the steps below:

  • With the valve open, pump ten times.
  • Close the valve and elevate it to the full height.
  • Continue to pump ten times while at full extension. Lower the cylinder by releasing the valve.
  • If required, repeat two more times to expel all air from the cylinder.
  • Most of the time, this will completely bleed the jack. If not, gently unscrew the oil filler plug on the side after the cylinder has been freed and lowered to help remove any trapped air.
Maintain some space in your garage with a Pair of RocwooD RWFAS3 folding axle stands, they fold away neatly so they can be stored easily in a draw or a cupboard. With a 3 tonne max rating (1500kg each) they offer all the adjustability and features of regular stands. Conforms to TUV/GS safety standards.
  • An axle stand is a specialist tool used to support cars and other vehicles that have been lifted off the ground to access the underside. They are raised using hydraulic jacks to carry out maintenance or make repairs including changing the oil or fixing an exhaust pipe. Axle stands are made from hardwearing, load-bearing metals like aluminium, steel or cast iron which will not slip, break or twist when exposed to the weight of a car.
  • Axle stands are more robust than jacks because they do not contain hydraulic or mechanical parts which can wear out over time. They are also less prone to shifting position under stress, movement which could cause the vehicle to fall.
  • When using axle stands, it is important to ensure that they are suitable for the vehicle you will be supporting and will be able to support its full weight. It is also important to place chocks (wheel wedges) beneath the wheels opposite the end of the car you are raising – i.e. beneath the front wheels if you are raising the back of the vehicle, and against the back wheels if you are raising the front. Safety is always an important consideration but especially so when fatal accidents are a possibility.
