Description:
The Clydesdale Arc Flash Visor with Apron has been developed to fit to standard EN 397 compliant peaked hard hats to provide the face protection to the wearer from the thermal effects of an electric arc flash.
The visor is easy to retro-fit to all hard hats and features a locating frame at the front and a sturdy rubber strap securing it at the rear.
Designed in such a way that, in the raised position, the mechanism and visor only increase the wearer's height by about 25mm. This lowers the centre of gravity making the assembly stable on the head.
A lower apron portion provides two safety features – the first to deflect any heat and molten debris away from the wearer’s face. The second is to protect the wearer from inhaling gas and debris due to their own, natural reaction to inhale in shock.
Laundering of the apron is also easily achieved as it is simple to remove.
To prevent scratching, the apron folds over the screen and fastens in place with Velcro. - CE marked
