SAR Figure of 8 Descender with Ears - Anodized Aluminium - MBS 35kN - SAR-RA017
| The figure of 8 descender is used for controlled lowering or abseiling, manufactured from high strength aluminium alloy. It has a large eye with room for an extra karabiner and wings to prevent the rope rolling into a locked position. The figure of 8 does twist the rope and is best used on firm rather than soft rope. It is not recommended for use with rope that comes straight out of a rope bag. It should only be used with a with a back-up safety lock, such as a Rocker or prusik style rope lock. |
